The laboratory of Fibre and Cellulose Technology has an extended expertise in tailoring the properties of natural fibres and biopolymers. The chemical constitution and physical morphology of these natural materials are characterised at the nano-scale and this knowledge is incorporated into products like paper, fibre composites and specialty chemicals.
