Desrcription of Expertise:
Most used methods are suitable for qualitative and quantitative analysis of organic liquid samples, in some cases solid samples and inorganic samples as well.
It is possible to separate different substances and concentrations from the samples. Typical analyses are detecting different pesticides, poly halogenated- and poly aromatic hydrocarbons and dioxins from water, air, soil or plants and groceries. Equipments for this type of analysis can be for example GC-MS and GC-FID.
Organic pollution levels can also be defined from water samples with methods such as TOC and UV-Vis along with detecting different types of chemical elements (such as heavy metals) by using ICP. Large molecules such as drugs and their components can be detected by using CE.
Detecting explosives, chemical warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals and other pollutants is possible with the IMS.
