Energy filtered transmission electron microscope (EFTEM) is a transmission electron microscope equipped with an energy filter system. Energy filtering can be used to select electrons with certain energy from the scattered electron beam which increases significantly the sharpness of images and accuracy of elementary analysis.

Transmission electron microscope imaging and elemental analysis of materials. Also biological samples can be studied.

Microscope is equipped with system for electron beam scanning which enables scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) imaging. For chemical analysis the device is equipped with EDS (Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy) analyzer.
